I help therapists of all kinds bridge philosophy with clinical practice and vice versa

I'm a licensed clinical counselor, addictions specialist, and philosopher who works with therapists struggling to integrate rigorous theory into their practice. I help clinicians move beyond protocol-driven care to deeper, more nuanced work that honors both their clients' complexity and the intellectual foundations of mental health treatment.

Most therapists face a false choice: clinical work or intellectual depth. What I've found in my own practice is that continental philosophy—political economy, critical theory, the analysis of power—actually makes you a better clinician, not a distraction from it. The real work is helping practitioners see that the personal and the theoretical aren't separate; they're the same problem viewed from different angles.
