The stories we tell ourselves and the meanings we attach to things should be questioned. Where have those meanings come from? How true are they? What happens when we start questioning them?
I spent about 15 years teaching English before going back to art school in my late 30s to study Fine Art Photography. I've always been interested in stories, language, interpretation and how differently people can understand the same experience.
From those interests came, Repatterned, where together, we challenge meaning.
I work with people through conversations. We might explore an idea, question a belief that's influencing what you do, or look at how you've come to tell your own story.
I ask a lot of questions, often about the things you thought were irrelevant, to help you discover what you've taken to be true.

The stories people tell about themselves are fascinating, and particularly how they’ve come to understand what happened to them. We’ll spend 90 minutes talking about yours. I’ll ask questions, follow the things of importance and listen out for the things you gloss over as though not particularly important. Explore the assumptions shaping how you think, interpret and behave in a 1-2-1 conversation. Together, we take something you'd like to differently and analyse the meaning you've made of it and explore where that meaning came from. Bring me whatever you’re working on: something you want to write, research, make, turn into a business... and talk me through it. I’ll ask questions. I’ll probably be interested in something you thought was completely irrelevant and question why you’ve mentioned it three times. We’re going to figure out: what are you actually interested in?
