In the age of AI, people pay for your judgment
Why fighting AI is a losing position for experts, and how to make your experience the reason people book you.
The short version: Your clients can find information anywhere now. What they pay for is your discernment and your taste. Use AI openly, and make sure people know who you are.
Stop fighting it
At the start of the first Expert Accelerator session, I asked the room a question: you all sell your knowledge, so how are you adjusting now that people can get a lot of it from an LLM?
Here's what some of my friends are doing. Say they're a graphic designer. They tell clients: "Want to use AI to curate your designs? Awesome. Go for it. I'll review the outputs, or show you how to prompt these tools better."
They've stopped fighting AI. Their pitch is: "I use it too. With my 20 years of experience, I can probably use it better than you can." The reason to work with them is that they combine their knowledge and experience with AI.
So instead of fighting it or running from it, acknowledge it and embrace it.
Build your character brand
The more people know about you, your expertise, and how you use AI to express it, the better.
I call this a character brand. People know who you are, and that's why they trust what you do with these tools.
Everybody has the information already. So the person on the other side has to trust you. They trust your discernment and your taste in what good looks like, more than your ability to produce the outcome.

What this could look like
Say you're a copywriter. "Draft it with AI if you like. I'll edit it into something that sounds like you and gets people to act."
Say you're a financial planner. "Run the numbers in any tool you want. I'll tell you which ones matter for your family."
In both cases the client keeps the tool, and pays for the judgment.
How to run it
Write one sentence about how you combine your experience with AI. Keep it plain: what you do with it, and what you catch that it misses.
Put it where people decide. Your EveryExpert headline or bio, and your LinkedIn About section.
Show your judgment once this week. Share one call you made that a tool would have missed.
Your homework

15 minutes. Write one sentence that says how you combine your experience with AI, and add it to your profile.
