I guide leaders in becoming wise about AI — fractional CTO/CIO, 35 years at IBM, Oracle & World Vision
I help CEOs, boards, and mission-driven leaders become wise about AI: what it can and can’t do, what vendors are really selling, and what it means for their organizations and the people they serve.
My perspective comes from both sides of the field. In 1985 and 1989, I published research at the University of Georgia and IBM questioning how AI defines “intelligence,” a question that matters more now than ever. I then spent 35 years in technology and program leadership, up to Senior Director, at IBM, Oracle, World Vision, and Wycliffe Bible Translators, and served on the advisory board of Crystal Decisions’ consulting division.
Through StillPoint Services, I serve as a fractional CTO, CIO, or PMO director, providing AI strategy and scenario planning, portfolio governance, due diligence on vendor claims, and board briefings. I also speak and write on AI, philosophy, and logic.
Happy to talk through an AI decision, a stalled initiative, or a question your board is asking.
