I’m an experienced UK electrical engineer, former electrical contractor and electrical lecturer with decades of industry experience.

I provide independent advice to homeowners on electrical faults, quotations, EICRs and recommended electrical work.

I can help with issues such as RCDs or circuit breakers tripping, loss of power, socket or lighting faults, and other common domestic electrical problems. I can also review electricians’ quotations, explain EICR findings in plain English and provide a second opinion if you have been told that costly work, such as a rewire or consumer unit replacement, is needed.

My aim is to explain the problem clearly, help you understand your options and identify the safest next step. I do not sell electrical installation work, so my advice is independent.
