Jason Matthewson is an award-winning producer, actor, writer, and CEO/founder of The Markit Group, an international production company operating across the UK, Ireland, and the USA. With over 20 years of experience and 100+ acting credits, Jason has raised over £20M in private equity, delivering acclaimed independent films like Suppression and When the Rain Ends to major platforms and festivals like Sundance, SXSW, and BFI London. He is also the co-founder of the Gold Movie Awards and a partner at The Old Film Farm.
As a filmmaker who navigates the messy reality of independent cinema, Jason helps creative teams move from idea to screen by handling the parts most dread: financing, deal structuring, packaging, and distribution.
