Helping educators, leaders and schools move beyond self-care to build healthier, trauma-aware workplaces.

I help educators, school leaders and schools build healthier, more sustainable workplaces. I bring more than 23 years of experience as a teacher, curriculum leader, learning support teacher and qualified Guidance Officer. I now teach educational psychology and research educator wellbeing, compassion fatigue, secondary traumatic stress, burnout and trauma-aware education. My approach is grounded in a simple belief: we cannot self-care our way out of unhealthy systems. Self-care, boundaries and regulation matter, but they cannot compensate for excessive workload, emotional pressure, role conflict or inadequate organisational support. I offer evidence-informed consultations for educators managing demanding work and leaders seeking to improve staff wellbeing. Together, we identify practical changes at the individual, team, leadership and systems levels. Consultations are educational and professionally reflective, not counselling or psychological treatment.
