As a disability advocate and educational assistant, I advance accessibility and systemic equity by collaborating with blind and low-vision individuals to navigate institutional barriers, master assistive technologies, and cultivate career readiness. Within the IDEA framework, disability is not the barrier; the deficit lies in an unaccommodated environment. Moving past superficial compliance, I draw from my lived experience with blindness and my guide dog partnership to eliminate structural biases and co-create inclusive workplaces, ensuring true belonging is actively constructed through intentional design and authentic connection.
