I spent about seven years on the investor side: equity research at Bolingbroke, two years at Rathbones supporting six investment managers across £760m of client assets, then Portfolio Analyst at Maven Capital Partners, a UK PE and VC manager. There I wrote investment committee papers and models on live buyouts and growth rounds, ran quarterly valuations across four fund structures and reviewed board packs from about 80 portfolio companies.
I sat on Maven's AI Committee and built Claude workflows that cut first-draft IC papers from most of a day to a few minutes. I have since built an AI deal intake and screening system for a US health startup and a demo AI receptionist for a trades business.
